Doug Thompson

(Corporate Attorney / Treasurer)


Doug Thompson of Abilene, Kansas is Corporate Attorney for Grail Engine Technologies, Inc. He is also an officer in the corporation.


Doug brings a diversified background to the corporation. Not only is he an attorney, but he is also City Attorney for the City of Chapman, Kansas.


He is also Dickinson County Counselor. He is municipal judge for the City of Abilene, Kansas as well as Administrative Hearing Officer for the Eighth Judicial District including the counties of Geary, Dickinson, Morris and Marion.

Doug was born in Abilene, Kansas. Abilene is the hometown of Dwight D. Eisenhower, 34th President of the United States.


Doug served in the Honor Guard for President Eisenhower?s funeral in 1969.


Doug is also President of the Kansas Auto Racing Museum and Kansas Racing Products.


Kansas Racing Products manufactures the “Super Duty Block” utilizing the General Motors high performance in-line 4-cylinder block, the Ford SVO Racing Block and the Mopar high performance block. Kansas Racing Products also manufactures crankshafts and intake manifolds.


Kansas Racing Products engine blocks have been successfully used in NASCAR, ARCA, Power Boat Racing, Off-Road Racing and is presently world record holder in NHRA Series.


Doug also raced in the NASCAR Goody?s Dash Series, NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, ARCA Truck Series, ARCA Pro 4 as well as short track asphalt and dirt track racing throughout the Midwest.


Doug has won 353 feature events, 9 track championships, the Nationals in 1988 and 1992. Doug continues to race dirt track modified.

Doug and his brother are owners of Whiskey Lake Raceway, a 3/8 mile dirt track located at the north edge of Marshall Army Airfield between Junction City and Manhattan.


Doug previously owned the Jayhawk Racing Journal, a weekly racing publication. Doug served as editor and publisher of the weekly publication.


Doug also owned a syndicated racing program called “In the Pits”. The radio program was a weekly racing program throughout the Midwest.


Doug is also President of Covenant Films, LLC. Covenant Films will soon release its first full-length motion picture entitled “Can We Talk?”. The full-length Christian film will be available nationally beginning June 11th, 2009.

Doug and his wife, Connie reside in Abilene, Kansas. They have three children.
